Best Practices
Getting our clients to the top of Google or Bing’s search results isn’t about using tricks, gimmicks or short cuts. Instead we utilize our many years of experience (we have been building and optimizing websites since 1999) to ensure we meet your potential customers where they are looking for your product or services. An effective search engine optimization and PPC ad strategy means conversions. Conversions require an engaging website. As our client, Consistent Hits will regularly review your site, looking for ways to improve the user experience and increase search engine results and conversion rates.
We get our clients to the top of the search engine results using the most cutting edge practices available today. We start by submitting sitemaps to all the major search engines and then monitoring client indexing via Google’s Search Console and Bing’s Webmaster Center. We monitor how many pages are getting indexed as well as how often and how deep important crawlers like Googlebot and Bingbot are crawling your site. We employ the use of tools like Google’s Search Console and Bing Webmaster Center to monitor page indexing, error reports, and saturation.
Create. Test. Repeat.
Our approach is 100% focused on facts received through testing and monitoring analytics. The beauty of analytics is you can see how someone has interacted with your product and where they may have dropped off during the process. We constantly test site updates as well as PPC campaigns and then determine if they are working – are they improving conversions, increasing traffic, and boosting visitor activity? We monitor every aspect and then continue to make the necessary changes to make your site and campaign effective.

Microdata & Rich Snippets
Microdata and rich snippets are the most cutting edge approaches to search engine optimization. Google and Bing both support these protocols, although not quite fully yet. Microdata is based on the vast and always increasing libraries at schema.org. For the first time, search engine marketers can now more fully describe images, links, and even text to search engines to help them better index and categorize your content. Here’s the most important point: Chances Are Your Competition Isn’t Using and Isn’t Aware of Microdata!
Facebook Open Graph
Open Graph is Facebook’s equivalent to microdata and allows third party websites and applications to connect user’s online activities to their Facebook activities. Open Graph is especially helpful for sites that strive to provide engaging, dynamic content such as a blog, videos, webinars and other online resources. By allowing users to interact directly with your product or service through Facebook, you are enabling it to become part of your users’ and their friend’s Facebook timelines and news feeds. Although not as robust as the schema.org’s microdata library, Consistent Hits employs these important tag embeds to help your Facebook posts achieve maximum optical effect.
